Apple Developer Setup
To provide your members with a premium, custom-branded experience, Apple requires that your app be hosted under your own Apple Developer Account.
Apple has strict verification requirements. Ensure you have the following ready to avoid delays:
- Legal Entity Status: Must be a Corporation, LLC, or other legal entity (not Individual).
- Custom Business Email: Associated with your domain (e.g., owner@activetopia-gym.com).
- A Public Website: Live website with a domain that matches your organization.
- D-U-N-S® Number: Unique nine-digit ID verifying your business's legal existence.
Create a dedicated Apple ID for your business rather than using a personal one.
- Go to the Apple ID Creation Page.
- Use your company domain email address.
- Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac).
Once your Apple ID and D-U-N-S number are ready, enroll in the program.
- Enroll as an Organization: Visit the Apple Developer Enrollment page.
- Select Company/Organization as your entity type.
- Verification Call: Apple will call your provided number to verify authority.
- Payment: Pay the $99 annual fee. We recommend turning on Auto-Renewal.
Provide ActiveTopia with these details from your Membership tab:
- Apple ID Email: The email you used to sign up.
- Team Name: Official company name in the account.
- Team ID: 10-digit alphanumeric code.
Log in to App Store Connect and follow these steps:
- Navigate to Users and Access icon on the dashboard.
- Click the plus (+) button next to the "Users" heading.
- Enter Details:
- • First Name: ActiveTopia
- • Last Name: App Team
- • Email: support@active-topia.com
- Assign the Role: Select Admin.
- Click Invite.
Why Admin?
The Admin role is required because it grants the "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles" access necessary to build and sign your app securely for the App Store.
Account Holder Reminders
Even with ActiveTopia as an Admin, there are tasks only the legal Account Holder can perform:
Signing Legal Agreements
When Apple updates terms, a red banner appears in your dashboard. Only you can click 'Agree'.
Renewing Membership
You are responsible for the annual $99 renewal. If it expires, Apple pulls the app.
Banking & Tax
If selling in-app memberships, you must complete the Banking & Tax forms in your portal.
Design Specs
Provide a splash screen background image for a professional look:
- Dimensions: 1536 x 2048 px (Portrait)
- Focus: Keep the subject in the center
- Style: High resolution, no text or logos
